"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see'' - Edgar Degas. I gained an appreciation for beautiful wood as a little girl helping my father with various projects from building a wood frame for the hull of a speed boat he designed and built in our garage to refinishing an antique baby grand piano! I hope you enjoy the transformations and pieces shared here in my shop! Each one is given a name to suit their style and unique story. Each piece includes proper repairs, if needed, and a custom finish honoring it’s original style for you to cherish and enjoy for generations to come! You will see I love to retain any beautiful wood when I can. In 2021, a new passion was born taking my love for painting to a new canvas - furniture! Plus, I gained the added satisfaction of restoring a once discarded vintage or antique piece and breathing new life into it.

I took a series of classes offered remotely with live zooms that fed my desire for connection and community. Another decision to push myself to embrace learning something new while stuck at home. I loved it and realized I wasn’t half bad! Fast forward to Covid lock downs in 2020. I thought it would be good to push myself to try something new and get away from my daily grind in front of a computer.

I discovered a love for painting on canvas nine years ago after attending an evening art class with a friend. It gives me great pleasure when I can do my part to keep unwanted furniture out of the landfill and give it a wonderful new life. So started to redo everything in my home and I have been slowly evolving with my finishes and realizing how much the details matter by creating something with depth and suddenly it becomes more than a piece of furniture it all of a sudden has a history that draws you in. I loved creating beautiful arrangements it didn't matter if it was an extravagant wedding installation, or a single rose the client entrusted me with their occasion, so no detail was overlooked because I knew that even if you cannot quit figure, it out there was that tiny detail that puts your arrangement over the top! During the last couple of years of my floral career I discovered a new passion, painting furniture. Recently I have left a twenty-year career as a Florist and have had the privilege of designing for clients in many areas of the country. I love classic design, something that will stand the test of time. I hope you enjoy the love that has been put into each of my pieces! LEARN MORE I don't necessarily have a favorite style, but rather I am drawn to pieces that have unique details: hidden drawers, fabulous hardware, wood escutcheons, ornate trim work, etc. Although painted vintage/antique furniture in neutral shades makes my heart happy, I love mixing it with natural wood tones to add warmth and create balance. It also became a motto for our e the good and the potential in all things. Turning old, forgotten furniture into classic pieces with beautiful finishes quickly became a passion. Being able to create a beautiful space for myself and my family was a challenge when working with small budgets, so I turned to painting. I firmly believe that your home should be a sanctuary, but many years ago I found myself a single mom with two young children. From a young age, I have had a love for textiles and old world furniture finishes with patinas that can set the tone for an entire space.
